• SWINE FLU

In school, kids share everything, pencils, secrets and yes, even germs.

So it's no surprise the H1N1 virus is part of show and tell.

Kanawha City Elementary it's latest stop.

Betty Ennis, Grandmother, "It's everywhere else so I knew it would be in the school."

Principal Kate Porter says the parents of two students called confirming the children have swine flu.

Linda Price, Grandmother, "It's terrifying, it really is."

Betty Ennis, "It always makes me nervous, kids are sick so much they might have it and don't even know."

The kids have not been at school since showing flu like symptoms.

Porter says the school takes all the necessary precautions like washing hands and making sure sick children stay home.

Many parents say that's about all you can do.

Pauline Dean, Mother, "Our family seems to be on the go too much, I hope my kids don't get sick."

Dean says it's vitally important to keep sick kids home to prevent the virus from spreading, but cases of swine flu at Kanawha City Elementary haven't made her more concerned.

Pauline Dean, "We are going to keep coming til they tell us different, hopefully they wont close the school."
