Teacher arrested for maintaining a drug involved residence

LEWISTON (WGME) -- A teacher at Freeports Coastal Studies for Girls faces drug charges.

Noel Thibodeau of Lewiston is charged with maintaining a drug involved residence.

Police say Thibodeau used his home at 5 Bradford Street in Lewiston to make and sell drugs.

Thibodeau teaches French and Spanish at the Freeport school.

If convicted, he faces a maximum of 20 years and a half million dollar fine.

Thibodeau has pleaded not guilty in the case.

He remains in federal custody at the Cumberland County Jail.
