270 part-time Market Basket employees losing hours
BIDDEFORD (WGME) -- Hundreds of part-time Market Basket workers in Maine are about to see very small paychecks. A manager tells CBS 13 News that those workers are about to lose virtually all of their hours starting this weekend.
The manager says 270 of the 330 workers at the store in Biddeford are part-time and that only some cashiers and baggers will get time on the clock, but not much.
The store says it's lost up to 95 percent of its business since Market Basket workers across New England started protesting, demanding their old CEO, Arthur T. Demoulas, get his job back.
