Brunswick sees road washouts and flooding
BRUNSWICK (WGME) -- It's not just Portland that got hit hard, further up the coast in Brunswick roads were washed out, and crews are still working to make repairs
On Raymond Road, crews have been working all day and Raymond Road is now fixed for the time being and open again after being washed out Wednesday night
Flooding Wednesday night affected roads all over Brunswick.
Pleasant Hill road was still flooded as of Thursday morning.
Other roads were hit hard to with at least partial washouts on Hacker Road and on Raymond Road.
Martin Wilk, resident, says: “It felt like a tropical rain storm more than a typical rain rainstorm and when we woke up this morning the road was washed out… We get a fair amount of rain. That's the lowest spot, but we've never had a wash out like that.”
Raymond Road is back open but crews on scene earlier say it will close again Friday or Monday for more work on the culvert.
