Westbrook’s superintendent completes ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
WESTBROOK (WGME) -- Students may not be back yet, but the school superintendent in Westbrook decided to start off the school year by answering a challenge. Dr. Marc Gousse took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in front of school employees on Tuesday even throwing on some Yankees gear in honor of Lou Gehrig, who died of ALS.
Gousse says he was only too happy to help promote a great cause and represent the Westbrook School System. "Well, certainly it's an honor to be nominated, very, very worthy cause for a disease that needs to find a cure." Dr. Gousse said.
Gousse says he's looking forward to a very productive school year in Westbrook and that this is a nice way to start things off.
