Fryeburg police charge man for stealing alcohol from store

FRYEBURG (WGME) -- Right now, Fryeburg police want to know if a man they arrested on burglary charges early Monday morning is involved in many more.

Police arrested 20-year-old Cameron Henry.

He's being held on $5,000 bail, charged with burglary, theft and multiple other charges.

Police say he broke into the Jockey Cap store in Fryeburg just after 3 p.m. and stole alcohol.

Officers responded to an alarm from the store and tracked Henry down after a brief chase.

Right now, police are collecting evidence to see if Henry had a role in more than a dozen vehicle break-ins that happened over the weekend.

The Fryeburg police chief says 18 vehicles were hit between midnight and 6 a.m. Saturday.

Cash, electronics, cigarettes and alcohol were stolen.

Police are still investigating.
