Former La. Police officer indicted for shooting Portland man's dog
SULPHUR, LA (WGME) -- A former Louisiana police officer accused of killing a Maine man's dog is indicted by a grand jury in Louisiana.
Brian Thierbach, who was an officer in the city of Sulphur before resigning last month, is now facing felony charges of aggravated animal cruelty.
He's expected to turn himself in.
Arzy, the dog, belonged to a traveling musician from Portland, Brandon Carpenter.
In a phone interview with CBS 13, carpenter says he'll stay in Louisiana as long as it takes to get justice for Arzy.
