Longtime Boston Marathon fixture staying home
BOSTON (WGME)- A longtime fixture at the Boston Marathon won't be there Monday.
Rosalie Baker-Brown started going to the Boston Marathon with her father when she was five.
Rosalie is now 85 years old and has fired the starting gun five times, including the race last year.
She never ran in the marathon. She said she enjoyed watching it too much.
This year, her niece will fire the starting pistol. Rosalie said it was time for her to pass on the torch.
Rosalie said although she loves the race, last year's bombing forever changed the marathon for her.
