LePage orders flags to be lowered in honor of Boston firemen
STATEWIDE (WGME) -- Governor LePage ordered all Maine state flags be lowered at half-staff from sunrise until sunset Thursday in honor of two fallen Boston Firefighters killed in the line of duty last week.
Family, friends and fellow firefighters will say their final goodbyes to firefighter Michael Kennedy. Kennedy and Lieutenant Ed Walsh died in a nine alarm fire in Boston last week. Firefighters from across the country, including a group from Maine, will be on hand for his funeral.
They also joined thousands of firefighters Wednesday at the funeral of Lieutenant Ed Walsh.
