Fundraising for Biddeford woman with ALS
BIDDEFORD (WGME) -- Brenda Whitmore of Biddeford was diagnosed with ALS, or Lou Gerhig's disease in the summer of 2010. The disease has taken it's debilitating toll.
Brenda's wish is to stay at home with her family, but the family says 24 hour nursing care can run as much as $19,000 a month. They are doing everything they can to keep Brenda at home.
This March and April, they are offering a calendar of raffle prizes, called "Bucks for Brenda." The family is still looking for prize donations and any help the community can offer.
