Bill to expand health care for Maine women moves forward
AUGUSTA (WGME) -- A bill designed to expand some health care services to more Maine women moved forward Wednesday.
The bill calls for women who earn less than twice the federal poverty level to have access to cancer screenings, annual exams, birth control, and testing for sexually transmitted diseases.
The house passed the bill 92 to 48, with bi-partisan support. It now moves on to the senate.
