Woman assaulted, hung out of second-story window

BERWICK (WGME) -- Assaulted, bitten, strangled and hung out of a second-story window. Berwick police arrest a man, after a woman says she was held against her will and attacked.

Robert Mulrooney is charged with aggravated assault. According to the Fosters Daily Democrat, the female victim claims the 58-year-old held her in a home on Sullivan Street.

She says she tried to get help from neighbors, but no one called police.

The police report says the victim claims she was assaulted, kicked, bitten and strangled. It also claims the suspect hung her out of a second-floor window upside down.

The victim says she was able to escape and called 911.

An investigation is ongoing right now.
