Man who shot dog with BBs makes plea deal
JEFFERSON (WGME) -- A Jefferson man who shot a dog with dozens of BBs, is making a plea deal.
Aaron Armstrong is charged with animal cruelty after police say he shot a Labrador retriever with nearly 100 BBs while drunk last summer.
Armstrong initially pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The dog has since recovered, was adopted and named Lady.
Armstrong's plea deal sentenced him to time served and two years probation.
He will also not be allowed have any contact with domestic animals or own a pet.
