New England held on to beat the Falcons, 30-23 at the Georgia Dome.
The Pats had a comfortable 30-13 lead late in the 4th, but Matt Ryan threw a touchdown pass, then the Falcons recovered an onside kick and scored again.
The Falcons got the ball one last time, but Aqib Talib came up with a huge 4th down stop, denying Roddy White a touchdown catch that would have tied the game.
Ryan threw for 421 yards and 2 TD's, both to Tony Gonzalez.
Tom Brady had his best game of the season, throwing for 316 yards and 2 scores.
Maine native Matt Mulligan scored the first touchdown of the game for the Pats. Mulligan, playing in his 3rd game, hauled in the 1 yard pass from Brady in the 2nd quarter.
