STORM TEAM13 WEATHER FORECAST

                   DRY STRETCH GETTING LONGER...

The weekend forecast is changing, becoming drier actually - we'll get to that in a moment, but first there will be a few more clouds around today. The clouds won't filter out much of the sunshine so it'll still be bright and seasonable in the 40s. A light southeast wind off of the water will keep the coast coolest. Clouds take over tonight, this will keep temps a little warmer and will mean a less frosty morning Friday. More clouds Friday morning and more sunshine by afternoon.

After last weekend many of you have mentioned how your spring fever is in full swing. Earlier this week it looked like a cold rain would move in for this weekend but the forecast is improving with each day. I mentioned yesterday that rain would now hold off until after Friday, well by last night it also looked like the rain would hold off until Saturday night/Sunday. The storm will be close by to our south, and if anyone is traveling to southern New England you'll be driving into the rain. But here in Maine we'll end up with a mix of sun and clouds Saturday and by Saturday night the rain will start to move in south of Portland. There will be a sharp cutoff for the rain on Sunday - spots north of the line will end up with some clouds and a dry day and south of the line will be soggy. Where that line will set up is the biggest forecast question in my mind. If you're north of Lewiston/Rockland/Fryeburg then you have the best shot at a dry Sunday, but stay tuned as any change in the track of the storm will shift that line south or north.

LETS GET GROWING!

If the weather has got you thinking about gardening you are not alone. This is the time of year to begin thinking about starting seeds indoors. We are about one month away from being able to plant cool weather crops safely and 8-10 weeks away from planting warm weather crops. If you have covering, you can plant already. To see a video on how to start seeds click here. If you would like to watch other garden videos. Head over to Growing Wisdom and see our own Dave Epstein in his garden.
