Another Swine Flu Death in Maine; Parents Worried About Swine Flu Vaccine Shortage

The Maine CDC confirms that another Mainer has died from the swine flu. State health officials say a young man from Penobscot County died at his home. The victim was between 18-25 years old and did have a serious underlying medical condition. This is the state's second swine flu death. The first was a man from York County; he died in August.

Parents are still worried about the swine flu vaccine shortage; especially parents of pre-schoolers. The Maine CDC says it received a shipment of pre-school appropriate vaccines this week and they should start arriving at pediatrician offices next week. The CDC also recommends that parents call their local school districts because some are accepting younger children at their school clinics.
