The following is a press release from The Falmouth Health Department:

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The H1N1 flu serum has arrived for a Thursday November 5, 2009 clinic.

The clinic will be at the HS Community Gym from 4pm-7:30 p.m. Elementary students are asked to receive vaccinations from 4-5:30 p.m. Middle and High School students are asked to receive vaccinations from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Flumist will not be available. Only injections will be available. This vaccine is coming in multi-dose containers and does contain thimerosal. There is no need to preregister.

A few things to remember:

Park in the front parking lot of the high school

Complete the permission form ahead of time. Permission forms will be available at the clinic if you cannot download a form.

Have your child wear a short sleeved shirt.

Have your child eat something before coming to the clinic.

Please be patient. Our staff and volunteers will try very hard to expedite this process!

We are expecting a very large turnout for this clinic. We are asking for your help to reduce the number of people coming all at once. If your child attends the elementary school please arrive between 4 and 5:30 p.m. If your child attends the middle school or high school, please arrive between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. We will accommodate you if you cannot adhere to this schedule but we are trying to expedite this process for all involved.

If your child is anxious about receiving a shot, please discuss this before the clinic. Reassure him/her that the people administering shots are all nurses and doctors. Our last clinics went very smoothly.

We look forward to seeing you at our H1N1 flu clinic.H1N1 Vaccination Clinic In Falmouth Thursday
