BOSTON (AP) -- The Boston Celtics host the Orlando Magic tonight for the first time since Game 7 of last season's Eastern Conference semifinals, when the Magic ended the Celtics' season. Both teams are 9-3, and Orlando is carrying a three-game winning streak into tonight's game.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- The Boston Bruins continue their road trip tonight in Buffalo against the Sabres. The Bruins ended a three-game losing skid with a 4-3 shootout win over Atlanta last night. The Sabres are 12-5-1 and have lost only twice at home this season.

ATLANTA (AP) -- Bruins' center Marc Savard was back on the ice during the morning skate on Thursday, but isn't quite ready to play. He hadn't practiced since aggravating a foot injury last month. He isn't expected to be available until Monday, at the earliest.

BOSTON (AP) -- The exclusive negotiating window for the Red Sox and left fielder Jason Bay came and went last night without a deal. Bay can now talk with other teams about a contract. Bay's agent Joe Urban says he expects the dialogue with the Red Sox to continue.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) -- Harvard football coach Tim Murphy says his game plan won't change, no matter who starts at quarterback for Yale tomorrow. Patrick Witt and Brook Hart have split the starting duties for the Bulldogs this season. Murphy says both are terrific players.

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) -- The top-ranked Connecticut women's basketball team travels to Massachusetts tonight to take on Holy Cross. The Huskies lead the series against the Crusaders 17-2.
