Bruins acquire Paille!

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- The Sabres have traded underachieving left wing Daniel Paille to the Boston Bruins in exchange for two draft picks.

In making the deal Tuesday, the Bruins announced they gave up a third- and a conditional fourth-round selection in next year's draft. Paille is a 2002 first-round draft pick who had difficulty finding a niche in the Sabres lineup.

He had one assist in two games with Buffalo this season. Paille has 35 goals and 77 points in 195 career NHL games. His best season came in 2007-08, when he had 19 goals and 35 points.

The Bruins, who host Nashville on Wednesday, bolstered their lineup after forward Milan Lucic had surgery to repair a broken finger on Sunday and placed on injured reserve.
