The Lewiston Maineiacs say they are leaving the Colisee after this season. What do you think Lewiston City Leaders should do with the arena?

Comment: make it a house by steph

Comment: Way to stand by your host city MaineIacs! You should be proud! I have an idea, how about nobody attend any more games..whats the point! I am glad we have a classy team like the Pirates. They are credible, they are involved in community and are great to the fans. GO PIRATES, MaineIacs..enjoy your new home. from Biddeford/ME by Rob

Comment: They should tear it down, if you ever saw the neighborhood you would know the whole downtown should be torn down and rebuilt its been asorry sight since I was a child and I am close to 45 now from lewiston maine by chris

Comment: FIND ANOTHER TEAM TO PLAY THERE OR MORE PEOPLE WILL BE OUT OF WORK from Greene, ME by Wilhelm Scream

Comment: demolish it.. its no longer needed and profitable from LEWISTON, ME by PAUL

Comment: This is great hockey. I wish we could have showed them more support! It will be hard to replace the entertainment that they have provided over the years! from Lewiston by Steve

Comment: I think that they should keep it as a sports venue, hopefully attracting more concerts, and special events as well, especially with all the upgrades the facility has received over the past few years. It would be a shame to just let it sit. from Auburn, Maine by Lyndsay

Comment: Bring in another Junior team. The Mainiacs were great and just poorly marketed outside of Lewiston. from Lincolnville by Peter

Comment: I don't know ask the Country for a bailout.... to get it fixed up, and put it to good use.... from Waterboro by Elaine

Comment: Create a community recreational area for teens. The Lewiston/Auburn area needs a place for teens to hang out so they aren't getting in trouble or wandering the streets from Windham, ME by B

Comment: I used to go skating there when I was kid and would love to be able to take my daughter, so I think that it should stay open and be used for ice skating, hockey and events such as concerts. from Lewiston by Melissa

Comment: Well, I hate the idea that the Maineiacs are leaving the area. To be honest with you the city of Lewiston has nothing to do with the Colisee any more they sold it. I think the new owner should market the ice time to schools and maybe get a indoor Lacross team or indoor football team. GOOD BYE MAINEIACS don't let the door hit you on the way out!!! from Lewiston by Bert

Comment: try to get another hockey team in ther to take its place from oob by Babs

Comment: As long as they don't hire thug "security guards", they should start hosting more concerts there. The Cumberland County Civic Center is too big for many bands and many of the clubs are too small. The size of this place is a happy medium. My concert experiences there for Primus in 2003 and Bob Dylan in 2008 were excellent. They should bring in bands of all shapes, sizes, colors and sounds. In spite of the failing economy, ticket sales for concerts last year were healthy, even strong in most cases. ROCK ON! from OXOFRD COUNTY, MAINE by WENDELL
