Comment: I think it is ridiculous that we can not see our home team play on our home turf. It's insulting and the NFL needs to rectify this situation with Time Warner Cable. from Gorham, ME by Eric
Comment: I think the whole NFL Network and NFL Sunday ticket mess is absurd. In this day and age, with all the technology available, there is no reason why we can't pick and choose the game(s) we WANT to watch, not FORCED to watch by cable and satellite. When folks in other countries can pick and choose the NFL games they want to watch and we can't in the USA, then Houston, we have a problem. by Bud
Comment: no I'm not upset it's only one game the world is not going to end because rhe patriots arn't on cable tv get over it people there's more to life then the patriots from portland by steven
Comment: No, There are far more important things in my life than worrying about football. by Sane Mainer

Comment: Even tho we live in Maine the Patriots are a big part of us. It should not matter where we live it should always be televised. from Farmington by Suzanne
Comment: Local sports should be free. We already pay too much for basic cable service, now special events get pirated away by big networks. The corporate world continues to infringe upon the rights of average American citizens. Anyone been able to afford to attend a Sox game lately? from Portland by Kelly
Comment: Not a fan of either team from China ME by Peter
Comment: if the nfl network continues this way, and all football goes to a pay per view type deal then i guess i will find another sport to watch. by kevin
Comment: You can also see the game on Channel 5, out of Boston. I read it today in the Portland Press Herald, Sports Section. No one needs to worry... everyone should be able to see the Pats trounce Brett and the Jets on Thursday night with or without the NFL Network. from Saco, Maine by Tyler

Comment: This is foolish on the part of the NFL network, I know TWC has offered to even put these games on Video on Demand and give all the profit to the NFL Network and still the refuse, must be nice to corner the market! from Lewiston by Kaleb
Comment: It's a huge game and the only way most people will be able to see it is to go out. It should at least be available to the local markets! from Portland, ME by Buffy
Comment: The NFL should not be allowed to hold its viewers hostage like that. from Peru by Charles
Comment: this is a joke ... for people outside of the New England area, I can understand the game being shown on NFLTV, but the game is sold out, so it should be on network television in New England. from S. Berwick, ME by David

Comment: The NFL is showing it's greed... from Portland by Mark
Comment: Just another way to squeeze more dollars out of sporting fans to pay for over compensated players and owners..... from Damariscotta by Wallace
Comment: As a transplanted New Yorker, I was really looking forward to this.It almost makes me want to blow off the NFL and stick with the college games! from Buxton/Maine by Bill
Comment: I feel that this is nothing but another ploy from the NFL to get us to switch to providers that have an NFL network. However, they'll lose more and more consumers who don't have, and can't get, these services. For example people who live in wooded areas can't usually get cable and people who rent an apartment can't usually get satellite. from Portland, ME by James
Comment: That is unfair to many loyal Patriots Fans who have no way to see such an important game. from Harrison by Patti

Comment: Yeah, we should be able to see our home teams play on basic cable, it gives me a reason to go out, but its easier to stay at school and have a few friends over, and watch the game rather then drive all the way into Portland... from Standish by Stacy
Comment: Patriots games have always been on local channels, and should not have to be a punishment to the public. from Westbrook by Corey

Comment: What a joke the NFL is... they are only hurting the game of football by showing games on a network that few have or can get. Very shortsighted. from me by james
