Comment: dont let the girls dress like call girls. from Livermore Falls, Me by j
Comment: I don't believe they are! I'm tired of folks who think that just because a girl wants to 'dress up' in a short skirt means they are bound for a job at Hooters! Look at the clothing that they wear to school nowadays-not a far cry difference! This is 2008, not 1920, folks need to accept the fact that times are always changing and modesty isn't as widespread as it used to be! from Windham Maine by Amy
Comment: Their everyday clothing is just as bad in alot of cases. from arundel by shawn
Comment: If you wouldn't want them to wear it to school, don't let them wear it trick-or-treating! from Turner by Yvette
Comment: Yes. There are some costumes out there that are just too revealing. from Bryant Pond, Maine by Dillon
Comment: yes,i think that some of the costumes are ridiculous.kids should be kids and not try to grow up to fast.let them be little, cause they are not little ,for long. from augusta, maine by sandy
Comment: i dont think they are because if people dont like the costumes they see they shouldnt buy it cause some other people may like the costume cause every else has a different opinon from biddeford/maine by ashlee
Comment: I believe that they are. Sex is every where that is all you see on tv now is half naked people and reality drama shows. I just had a baby girl and I hope that I can instill modesty and self respect so my daughter is not walking around with her body parts hanging out. And yes times have changed I'm a young women but I dont dress like that because I respect myself enough not to want my impression to be a negative one. from Portland by me
Comment: let them dress however they want to. from maine by sara
Comment: Absolutely! How has it become okay to sexualize our youth? We need to teach our youth about what's appropriate, and about respecting themselves. We managed to have fun while staying "G" rated. My parents never would have let me out of the house wearing some of the things kids do today. With that said, I also think walking around town in pajama bottoms, or a bathing suit is not appropriate either. from Buxton by Susan
Comment: I have to say yes ! I also think TV is to Racy for that age group . from Oxford , ME . by Lindsay
Comment: Are some too racy? Yes. Is this a new problem? No. When I was a kid the whole early 80's Material Girl thing was in full swing. I don't see how it is much different than what is going on today... If you don't like the costumes, don't buy them for your kids. It's called parental responsibility! from South Portland, ME by Micah
Comment: It's hard to find a costume for a young girl that doesn't look trashy. You almost have to dress them in boy's costumes. from S. Berwick by Cathy
Comment: Not only are costumes too racy, but try to find any modest, decent apparel for young girls today. It's a sad day for little girls that always look like they are 20-somethings. by Maine
