Warrants detail stabbings at Calif. beach house
September 02, 2010 22:15 EDT

VENTURA, Calif. (AP) -- Recently released court documents provide details of the brutal stabbing deaths of a pregnant woman and her husband at their Southern California beach house last year.

The documents, obtained by the Ventura County Star, reveal an armed intruder demanded cash and jewelry when he burst into the Faria Beach home of Brock and Davina Husted in May 2009.

The documents say the couple's 9-year-old son ran to get cash from his mother's purse, but when he returned the man was stabbing his parents with a kitchen knife.

The boy hid behind a couch until the intruder left. Neither the boy, nor his 11-year-old sister, were hurt.

Joshua Graham Packer was arrested in April and charged with murder and robbery.
