Maine Red Cross officials say starting Wednesday, they'll send supplies and emergency response trucks south, along with teams of volunteers to New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania.
Joyce Tanguay of South Portland has been volunteering for the past 12 years. She's seen a lot of disaster areas and says she looks forward to lending a hand. The Red Cross expects the cleanup efforts to last months and will be sending volunteers for as long as they're needed.
