Two people were hurt when a small plane crashed in Lyman.
The Federal Aviation Administration says an ultralight glider went down in the woods near Beech Street around 8:45 Saturday morning. Investigators say two people were on board and taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to the FAA, the ultralight took off from Eliot and was heading to Wiscasset. The FAA spokesman says the plane had engine problems, and the pilot tried to divert it to Sanford before it crashed in Lyman.
Ultralight gliders are air crafts that you can assemble yourself. The FAA says this ultralight was home-built.
The NTSB is investigating.
