Anderson was one of the performers at last year's Bowdoin International Music Festival. Miraculously, she is expected to make a full recovery after being shot in the arm and having a bullet pass through her brain. Doctors say she was likely saved by a small channel of fluid running through her skull. That channel of fluid, which is likely from a birth defect she never knew she had, helped maneuver the bullet in the least harmful direction
Anderson was invited to perform at last night's Artists of Tomorrow concert in Brunswick, but had to decline the offer because her mother is dealing with terminal breast cancer.
All of the proceeds from last night's concert are being donated to a fund set up to help cover the cost of Anderson's medical bills.
