LEBANON (WGME) --
11:45 p.m. UPDATE: State Police investigators remained on the scene of a shooting in Lebanon late Tuesday as the search for an armed suspect continued.
The York County Sheriff`s Office says 41-year-old Richard Potorski is hospitalized at Maine Med with a gunshot wound to the shoulder following the shooting at 11 Second Street.
Police say Potorski came home for lunch when he wassurprised by the intruder. He was shot almost immediately in a hallway thenmade his way to a bathroom.
They believe his wife called 911 around 1:30 p.m.
The homeowner`s vehicle was then found several miles away in Rochester, New Hampshire. The car was towed to Alfred where State Police searched it for fingerprints and DNA evidence.
The suspect is described only as a white man wearing a camouflage cap.
