The families were given a Blue Star Banner to hang in their window to show they have a loved one in the military.
Darlene Kritzman remembers the exact moment her son, Franklin, said he
wanted to serve our country. "(The Blue Angels) went right over our
house and my son went out to the front yard and went 'hmm, I wonder what
it would take to fly one of those?" Kritzman said.
Franklin Kritzman is now six months into learning just how. He's in the Air Force, currently stationed in Florida.
The First Lady also presented awards to veterans at Saturday's ceremony.
