We saw more testimony from law enforcement including a state police detective who was the scene leader when Mark Strong's business was searched. There was a lot of back and forth over how evidence was handled and who handled it. And now also on the table is new motion for dismissal from the defense.
Mark Strong's defense lawyer, Dan Lilley has filed a new motion with three moving parts: the first is a move to once again have the charges against strong dismissed. Lilley says the prosecution has repeatedly withheld evidence , most recently a letter of reprimand against the lead investigator in the case that the defense says could have helped their case. If there is no dismissal then the second part asks that all personnel records of officers slated to testify be released. They say it goes to witness credibility. Finally, the defense wants the judge to formally instruct the jury that Strong's constitutional rights have been violated by the alleged withholding of evidence.
Witness testimony will continue Tuesday and right now there is no clear word on when a judge will hear or rule on this new motion by the defense.
Mark Strong's trial is expected to take at least two more weeks.
