They say the company is unfairly cutting their salaries, benefits, and pensions. Monday, Hostess announced it will close facilities in Seattle, Saint Louis and Cinncinati and are blaming those closures on the strikes. Workers here say they don't buy that excuse and they say the company planned to close those plants all along.
They say blaming those shutdowns on the strike is dishonest and they aren't going anywhere. Hostess admits the cuts they have forced on their employees are quote tough, but they insist they are necessary to pull the company out of bankruptcy.
