87-year old Charlotte Lovejoy showed us where a burglar managed get into her home early Thursday morning while she and her husband Del were asleep in their bedroom. She says it’s the second time they've been burglarized in the past three months.
Ripped off were prescription pills, a stun gun and lots of Christmas presents, including the ones for the Lovejoy's family. All that is left tonight are two lone gifts, left behind for some reason.
Oakland Police arrested 25-year old Jason Horne of Augusta just down the street at a neighbor’s home. He's charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief in connection with this home invasion. Police say most of the stolen items were destroyed but the community is coming together to help out.
A grateful couple, getting back into the holiday season. The Lovejoys are hoping to re-purchase the gifts they bought and lost. They'll be celebrating Christmas and Charlotte's birthday on December 26th.
