BOSTON (WGME) -- A Maine native going to school in Boston is behind a major fundraising project gaining momentum by the minute.
T-shirts can be purchases here: Boston Strong
Gorham native Nicholas Reynolds is the cofounder of the Boston Strong fundraiser. He and his fellow Emerson College classmate Chris Dobsen created these t-shirts through an online printing agency.
Their goal was to sell 110 shirts at $20 each, to raise money for marathon victims. Already they've sold more than 1,700 shirts and have raised more than $30,000.
Reynolds and Dobsen tell us after they made sure all their friends were okay, hey felt helpless as they watched the news coverage of the attack on their city. That's when they decided to do something.
Reynolds tells us the production company jumped on board and is making the shirts for free so that 100-percent of proceeds can go straight to the One Fund charity.
