CARABASSETT VALLEY (WGME) -- The Maine Warden Service says the cost of the search has reached $15,000. Corporal John MacDonald says he's not sure if the family of Nicholas joy will be charged for the search.
MacDonald says after an interview with Joy, it appears the teenager became lost unintentionally. Sugarloaf has no plans to charge Joy's family for costs incurred by the company during the search.
Almost a hundred people took part in the 36 hour search.
