Mark Strong guilty of promoting prostitution

ALFRED (WGME) -- A York County jury finds Mark Strong guilty on all counts of promotion of prostitution.  It took jurors a little over four hours to convict Strong of 12 counts of promoting prostitution and one count of conspiring to promote prostitution.  Strong seemed to have little reaction as the guilty verdicts were read.

His defense attorney, Dan Lilley, tried to create doubt by suggesting Kennebunk police had other motives for prosecuting Strong.  Lilley argued the charges were the result of a professional investigation Strong was conducting into the police department.  Audra Presby was the lead investigator in the prostitution case, and today, she called the verdict a true vindication.

Prosecutors say they want to see if Mark Strong has any remorse for his role in the prostitution enterprise at the Kennebunk Zumba.  Strong could face stiff fines and possibly jail time when he is sentenced in two weeks.Mark Strong guilty of promoting prostitution
