PORTLAND (WGME) -- The man accused of threatening to shoot school children at Reiche Elementary and making racist comments wound up back in jail Friday night, right after bailing out, according to jail officials.
Dispatchers at the Cumberland County Jail say Derek Weeks posted $250 bail Friday, but then violated bail conditions and was taken back to jail. Weeks posted a second bail of $60 around 9:15 p.m., the jail said.
It's not clear what bail conditions Weeks allegedly violated. His bail conditions for the charges in connection with the alleged threat include that he not go near Reiche.
Weeks is charged with one count of criminal threatening and one count of interference with Constitutional civil rights. He originally faced seven counts of each, but prosecutors lowered the counts and his bail was reduced from $250,000 to $250.
