STATEWIDE (WGME) -- We are tracking yet another winter storm but before it arrives we have a nice day Tuesday. Clouds Tuesday morning will break apart to a mix of sun and clouds. There will be more melting with temps up near 40 degrees.
Snow from our next storm arrives Wednesday morning and then continues throughout the day. The snow will start out light but will pick up in intensity in the afternoon. We will also be tracking a rain/snow line at the coast which will hold down accumulations there. Southern York County and southeastern NH will see a change to rain first with the rest of the coast likely changing to rain or a mix of rain and snow by the evening hours.
This is going to be a long storm as the rain and snow will continue Wednesday night into Thursday morning. The heaviest precip should end by mid day Thursday with lighter precip after that. For coastal towns that turn to rain Wednesday night a change back to snow will occur by Thursday afternoon. This will be a heavy wet snow again and if the rain/snow line does not move onto the coast there could be higher accumulations for coastal towns.
On Friday we'll still be left with clouds and periods of light snow and snow showers as the storm continues to slowly pull away. It looks like we'll get back into some sunshine on Saturday. And speaking of Saturday, this will be the first weekend in a month that we are not looking at a storm!
Stay tuned as we continue to track our latest winter storm.
