BIDDEFORD (WGME) -- If you drive though downtown Biddeford this weekend, you may not believe your eyes. The city's annual "Winterfest" has taken over, turning streets into ski jumps and sledding hills.
With temperatures in the 50's this past week, organizers were praying for the cold. It came just in time to fill the city square with snow and spectators.
Hundreds bundled up Friday night to watch the action, which was staged between district court and city hall.
With the increase in foot traffic, local businesses are also hoping to cash-in on the 3-day event.
Winterfest runs through Sunday. There are events all weekend. To take a look at the full schedule, click here.
