Portland - Police continue to search for a man they say attacked a woman as she was walking down the street in Portland's West End. Meanwhile, the woman who says she was attacked has released pictures which show her bruises from just after the attack.
The woman asked not to be named, but agreed to show the pictures in hopes that putting a human face to the attack will help bring the suspect to justice.
Police say the attack happened last month on Vaughan Street, near the West End Cemetery in Portland. Police say the suspect ran up to the woman, and knocked her to the ground. The woman was able to fight off the attacker until he ran off.
The suspect is a black male, between 18 and 23 years old, 5'6"-5'8", 170-180 lbs. He was reportedly wearing a dark watch, winter cap, dark jacket and jeans at the time of the attack.
